Evening Along the River

You are invited to come out to my home and spend some time on the river. I’ll have some drinks and foods, but please bring things to share.

Saturday, August 24

6:00 pm (party kick-off)

  • Grillin’ (some things provided, or bring what you want - share style)

  • Chillin’ (views, drinks, friends, chickens)

  • Yarnin’ (I’ll have my Pop-Up story booth on the docks for your stories, thoughts or anything you want to say)

7:52 pm (Sunset)

  • Chicken Parade into the Hen House

  • Meryl Streep (unfamous Petaluma Noise Band)

8:45 pm (darkness)

  • Chillin’ (More friends, drinks; less views, chickens)

Note: I live along Lakeville Highway and other drivers will not expect you to be turning into the marina. Also, please plan for safe return back home.

But wait, there’s more. Keep scrolling…

And you are further invited to the following day….

Afternoon On the River

This could be your view.

Sunday, August 25

10:00 am

Floatin’ (for those with kayaks/canoes - meet at the Petaluma Marina; those without - you can check one out for free from the Friends of the Petaluma River). Check out their ‘Boating at the Barn’ section of the link. If you want to check out (again - free, but consider a small donation), just head over to the David Yearsley River Heritage Center (the red barn in the middle of Petaluma along the river - 100 E D St, Petaluma, CA 94952).

High tide is around 11:15 that day, so a float around the turning basin and the area downtown should be great fun!

Any boats checked out from the Friends of the Petaluma River need to be returned by 1:00 pm.

1:30 pm

Dock and Dine at Taps!

For those with their own boats, we can all dock and tie up in the turning basin by Taps Beer Co. & Kitchen. For those without, just use your feet, bike, car or whatever and meet us at Taps. Just a lazy afternoon of friends, fried food and drinks (no Oxford commas).

For both/either/neither, please RSVP to andysewell@gmail.com (or text me; or slide me a DM - just let me know somehow).
